I chose fried chicken because it is a dish I share with friends and family, so it's often associated with closeness and bond between the people I care about. The soft background is used to contrast the textured, crunchy subject (the chicken). The geometric rhythm was created using the polygon tool in Photoshop. The brush tool was also used to create flow and smoothness in the sauce.
Design principles used are: contrast, color, texture, pattern, rhythm, and emphasis.

The Boxtrolls

Project: Digital Forms of Narration
The goal of this project was to create a text object and an image object that told the story of The Boxtrolls. I chose The Boxtrolls because I enjoy the art of stop-motion and the various themes found in this film.
For the text object, I chose to re-create a newspaper using Adobe Photoshop, detailing the story of the main characters' journey as they discover who truly are innocent and the main antagonist who deceived the city for a chance at authority. For the image object, I created a poster with various characters shown in the film to highlight and tease what viewers may see once they watch the film.
